Freedom is online? I wonder why such a concept came to my mind while thinking of ways to start a blog which involved, well creating some kind of a title for it.
Me saying all this, obviously I'm just all starting out wondering if I'm cut out for all this. I've always enjoyed working with computers ever since I was little, some might say that I was somehow raised around computers. That time then it was all about games, so much hours spent playing games on that screen and several more spent on trying to get them to work. There then was an entry point to troubleshooting. Reading through the system requirements of each games I borrowed from a school mate, wondering why it would not work. Checking out the specifications of my CPU. I guess from that early stand point, one thing led to another. Soon I was the computer technician of the house and my family would often ask me for help whenever they had issues with their desktop and laptop computers.
The freedom online. I guess that is a vague thought for me. Freedom means a lot of things for diffirent people, but for me it's all about happiness I guess. Being happy with your life comes with content and fulfillment and being happy about what you do. This is something I think I never really had so far in my life. Sure there were a lot of good moments just as everybody else, but that's not what I'm talking about. Was there ever a time you just wanted to stand still and assess the way your life is going and wonder is this all I'm going to be and do I know what I want with the direction I'm taking my life to be in? Do I have a plan and are the efforts I'm exerting worth their while? Plans are only as good as those who see it through and I can't seem to when you don't seem to have control over it.
Now that's the freedom that I seek, control. The freedom to control your life and use that control online. Online, a lot of freedom is to be found. A lot of data, a lot of information that all translates to countless opportunities. This is the way the world is going, the computer age so to speak. These things that seem commonplace nowadays which was never dreamed possible decades ago. A revolution in itself, being applied to every facets of more than just technology, of humanity, of our civilization.
The concept is profound, and those who know how to wield this freedom I am able to most confidently say, would never be short changed in life. My perspective may mean little like a speck in the infinite bounds of space, but within that speck is my own personal space for which I have all the freedom to treasure.
This is my first blog, thought I'd just write whatever was on my mind. =)
